The 20th Anniversary Events at the Anne Murray Centre

The 20th anniversary events will take place on July 25, and include: A music seminar in the morning and afternoon at the Nova Scotia Community College campus, Main Street, Springhill. This will consist of four music workshops conducted by industry professionals and geared towards budding artists. These have limited seating and are $10 per workshop or all four for $30. Tickets are available through the Anne Murray Centre.

Next, Anne Murray will make a visit to the Anne Murray Centre to meet and greet visitors. There is no charge for this event -- it's just a means for Anne to casually say hello to Centre visitors as part of the day's events and perhaps sign a few autographs.

Following the visit to the Centre, Anne will attend a private appreciation reception at the Dr. Carson and Marion Murray Community Centre (Main Street, Springhill) for event sponsors and long time supporters of the Centre. Unfortunately, due to a very limited amount of space, this event is invitation only and won't be open to the general public. It's being held to give Anne an opportunity to say thank you to those who have sponsored the Centre's 20th anniversary and/or donated to our facility over the years. It also gives supporters a chance to get to meet and talk to Anne in a more relaxed and casual setting.

After the reception and also at the community centre, there will be a concert featuring two of the biggest name artists currently in Atlantic Canada, Joel Plaskett and special guest David Myles. These excellent entertainers play a lot of folk rock and will put on a great show. Seats are all general admission. Tickets are $25 plus tax and can be purchased on line at: http://www.ticketpro.ca/ or they also have a limited number available at the Centre.
