King Seaman Church gets a New Coat of Paint


The King Seaman Church in Minudie got a facelift last month after the clapboards were repaired and it was completely repainted. Our hats off to the Minudie Heriage Association for doing such a fine job.

The Minudie Heritage Association will hold a barbecue at the River Hebert Co-op from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on August 8th.

Blessing of the Crops in Minudie


Blessing of the Crops Festival on Sunday, August 9th. Mass begins at St. Denis Church at 2:00 pm. The Celebrant will be Father George Smith. Mass will be followed by a reception at St. Aquinas Church Hall in Joggins. All are invited to return to Minudie for an evening concert featuring Blue Horizon. Minudie Day!


The Minudie Heritage Association will host their 8th Annual Minudie Day on Sunday, July 12th.
Events start at noon. Tours of heritage buildings. Wagon Rides. Displays of Antique Machinery. Children's activities include fish pond, moon walker, games of chance. Barbecue & strawberry shortcake teas. Craft & bake tables. Musical entertainment including Bridget Michaels.

The office of the Minudie Heritage Association is now open until the fall. Their upcoming events include:
  • Ham & Scallop Take Out Dinner - Sunday, June 28th
  • Minudie Day - Sunday, July 12th
  • Blessing of the Crops - Sunday, August 9th
